Under the trend of global green and low-carbon development, the construction of "zero carbon factory" will become a necessary strategic choice for industrial enterprises. Many industries have begun to deploy "zero-carbon factories" on the basis of building green factories.

"Zero-carbon plant" refers to the greenhouse gas emissions generated in the process of production and service within a certain period of time (usually in annual units) within the greenhouse gas emission accounting boundary, calculated in terms of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e), and on the basis of independent emission reduction as far as possible, the remaining emissions are eliminated by emission reduction projects outside the accounting boundary. And/or a corresponding number of carbon credits offset by the plant.

The "Zero Carbon Plant Evaluation Code" standard was officially released on May 30, 2022, and will be implemented on June 1, 2022. This is the world's first complete and quantifiable "zero carbon factory" construction standards and evaluation rules.
